I use Join Query Devices in Tasker with my devices to trigger certain tasks if that device is on the local network. Idealy I'd like to do these with my wife's phone too - her Join account is in linked to her own Google Profile so within Join this is a 'shared device'. Using Join Query Devices in Tasker for any of the shared devices, always returns false for %joindevicelocalnetwork() even if on the same network.

Is there a way, perhaps in future versions, to have an option to allow local network discovery/sharing across shared devices? If this already

There are different use cases: Some users want to dismiss notifications across devices. Some do not.

Suggested solution: Dismiss notifications across devices (status quo), but provide a button to only "dismiss locally". Used depending on situation. 

So if you dismiss a notification on receiving device you won't forget a new message when you return to original device some hours later. 

Currently the webpage ignores my setting of not using smooth scrolling and reintroduces a badly working variant of smooth scrolling through javascript.

The end result is a weird mixture between discrete jumps and smooth scrolling. I experience motion sickness when using the webpage on a desktop system.

Plus, on weaker systems (e.g. laptops running on battery) JavaScript smooth scrolling invariable becomes "laggy".

I would like to voice type with my android phone and have the text automatically sent to the editor that is opened on my laptop.

This is because Google Voice typing is accurate enough to save a lot of manual typing on my laptop.

This may be a longshot because it's actually a request to contribute to the Tautulli project (https://github.com/Tautulli/Tautulli), but it would be great to be able to use all of Join's API parameters. For example, provide the ability to set a notification category for Tautulli Join notifications. 

Pushbullet had a feature where you can right-click on a web page and do "Send to XYZ" where XYZ is a different person (i.e. my wife).  On Mobile, you were able to do Share... Pushbullet.. and choose the other person.  It would show up as a "message" to the other person.  It was an easy and very fast way to share a web page with someone.

Anything similar on Join?  So far I can't find a similar feature to send things to a different person.

When the conversation tab auto-refreshes it could check if a conversation is still on the phone. If it's not, it should delete it from the desktop app as well If I disable - reenable the sms from the mobile Join app (settings/SMS and Phone Calls), the conversations are refreshed correctly - the extra ones are deleted from the desktop app, but that's not ideal, methinks :)

If I'm in a conversation in the desktop app, hitting the conversation tab button upstairs could lead to the general conversation screen.

Right now if I want to exit to the general conversations screen I hit the arrow at the left, but that's harder to aim than the tabs upstairs.

It would be nice to be able to go up a level from the conversation tab button

After app dev was complete, I'm seeing that Home Assistant has unknown sensors after a restart. I see I can fix this if my Join MQTT pushes could have a Retain flag set during Publish.

From all I can find, this doesn't appear supported.

Any workaround? (Other than using another MQTT publish app.)

Please add a feature to display tasker variables of our choosing when clicking in Join browser extension device Info icon. The use I want to give this feature is to display my phone's pressure sensor value, but this definitely can be used to do way more than this.

The active profiles list is just good to have.

Please add support for remote SMS feature to see contacts stored in the "Work Profile" that Microsoft Intune and possibly other MDMs set up on Android devices.

Ever since my work forced us to install InTune, the Join sms functionality can no longer decode phone numbers of contacts stored in my Work Profile's contact list.  This makes me sad.

With the chrome extension, I'm able to get device info for android devices with join installed including battery level and also get notifications when the battery is low. Would it be possible to do this on chromebooks/laptops with the chrome extension installed (i.e. check battery level of a chromebook/laptop from an android device or other device with the chrome extension as well as get notifications when battery is low)?

I sent a large file from my phone to my computer (about 5GB), which slowly uploaded to my Drive while I was in wifi.

I thought it had finished (no way to knowing the transfer status?) but little did I know it continued uploading around 2GB when I went outside. Which killed my data limit a few days before my subscription renewal :D

Is there a way to prevent uploading larger files over data connection? If not, I think it would be nice to have!

Currently I have to paste the clipboard to a file and drag&drop to upload. It would be nice if I can send the copied image (often screenshots) directly. Sending files is probably not possible with a chrome app but I guess sending images is plausible.

i wish for a garmin watch tasker plugin. 

It would be nice to be able to view all previous notifications, not just pushes.

I have many contacts with commas in the phone number to dial an extension automatically after a number of seconds. Like this. 1234567891,,5551245 These contacts are not being synced by join.

Also one could use the ";" semicolon to send a wait command that would prompt to send subsequent characters.

As we own more and more devices (smartphone, tablets etc), we often receive the same notification on multiple devices for commonly used apps (Gmail, calendar, Facebook etc.)

It would be great if Join was able to dismiss these notifications across all devices when they are cleared on one of them. Currently, each notification has to be manually dismissed on every device (at least for my Android 7 and 9 devices).
