Chrome extension allow paste of picture from clipboard

I looked around and couldn't find a duplicate of this. My apologies if I didn't find it.

I would love to be able to take a screenshot on my computer that is saved in the clipboard and then be able to paste that image into the Chrome Extension.

I know that I can get around this by saving the image and then attaching the image to the conversation, but it would be very helpful to just be able to "paste" the image into the conversation.

Thanks for all of your hard work!

Thanks :) Seems like it's doable!

Pls!! do it ASAP I'm already starving for this feature :D

Yes, this feature would be great. I copy and paste GIFs and screenshots to people all the time on Pulse, it be great to have that feature on Join too!

OMG i have raised a similar request as i see here. @joao kindly refer even My post before you are working on this feature

Here is My original post

Paste jpg from desktop clipboard and send it across devices or option to take a screenshot and share it instantly

I miss this feature badly as I always wanted to share images on browser to my phone instantly. I do accept we have an feature to download the image directly to my devices using the right click over image, But that doesn't works on all the sites

I would love this feature as well. This is an awesome feature if available.

JL

I really need this feature as well.

Bump. I am coming from Pushbullet which had this feature. I may go back for this feature since I use it so often.

VL

Its been 9 months and we are still waiting. Plz enable this feature

Hi.  Unfortunately there are other more voted issues I need to address first. Hope you understand.

This would be a great feature add.  I use this all the time on Google Hangouts from my PC, and would live to be able to do the same from Join.

I just came here to request this exact feature. Would be really convenient to paste directly to a conversation and send as MMS.
I hope it's still planned. 🙂

EH

This would be supergreat! :)

SR

Looking for an alternative to Pushbullet - this feature is a must have!

DH

Would really like this feature.  It is a real pain to have an image in the clipboard and have to save it to file in order to send it when a quick paste would work.  Pushbullet has this feature.  I notice this thread is 2 years old so does that mean that this isn't on the radar to put in?

M

i used this feature everyday at work with pushbullet. it saves me so much time.

JL

This gets another vote from me. Seems like it was first requested 2 years ago...

Joao Dias it would be great if you can consider developing this feature this will help us a lot in making life easier

CR

This is the only feature keeping me from completely dropping Pushbullet and transitioning to Join!  Please consider developing this feature Joao Dias.

How is this still not a thing? I thought I was going crazy when I couldn't figure out how to do this. It seems like such a super basic thing? It's one of the main reasons I even want to use an extension like this.

JL

Despite having packed with features, this is one of the most important feature for me. Unfortunately, Joao has other higher voted things to do as he said 2 years ago, let's hope this get more votes. Meanwhile, I'll just have to use Pushbullet along with Join.

It depends on the use case. For example I never needed this feature before myself. Maybe people that send MMS a lot need this? MMS isn't really used much outside of the US I think, that's why this isn't that important for most people.

With that being said I hope I can fix this sometime soon :)

Thanks for your patience. I've now implemented this in the Chrome extension. Should be available in the Chrome Store soon in version 1.8.23!

EH

Its working great! Super thanks!! 😁 😁

Great, thanks for confirming! :)

JL

Thanks Joao! I tried sending from Phone to PC and it works great!

Anyone tried sending it the other way round? There's "send a file", "note to self", etc. I can't seem to find the option on the Chrome extension.

This option is for sending MMS messages with images by simply pasting the image when composing the message :)

To use it go to the SMS tab > conversation and write a new message. Paste the image there.

Hope this clarifies it!

How does it work?

i copied a image and opted to send clipboard to phone it doesn't seem to work.. Did i missed something?

This is for MMS only.
