[Issue] Duplicate contacts with new MMS feature rollout

WIth the new MMS update, the message thread on the chrome extension creates multiple threads for a contact. Say I have a MMS message with Sally. It will have a thread for Sally that has just the SMS. Then another thread titled Sally, Sally that has just the pictures in it. How can this be corrected since it is really annoying? 

Also, should the images auto-load when opening a thread instead of clicking on the load image button?

Can you try with this version please? Disable and re-enable the SMS service on your Android device: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9787157/apk/Join.apk

you can see Josh Erb texts are coming in his correct contact info.

 

then the Photos are coming in under the "Josh Erb, Josh Erb"  and under "Rebecca Moncauskas, Rebecca Moncauskas"  

 

i can Reply under the photos as you can see under the "josh erb, josh erb" i said "thanks"

 

you can see what it looks like when i dont reply under "rebecca moncauskas, rebecca moncauskas"  it says "undefined"

possibly uninstall/reinstall  chrome extension? not sure if that would help

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the android and chrome extension and that didn't fix it either

Install -> disable SMS service -> enable SMS Service.

I have reset the SMS service and the issue still remains

The phone numbers are the same. 

Would it be possible to have the images auto load?

Are the phone numbers not different in any way? For example, an extra space, or parenthesis or + sign? Absolutely identical?

The phone numbers are absolutely identical and in no way different from one another

Hi there. Can you please check if the phone number on each of those conversations is different in any way?

And yes, loading images is meant to be that way.
